Mastercard
Mastercard is helping to shape a more inclusive, connected world through strategic support at the University of Toronto. With more than $6.5 million in corporate and philanthropic support, Mastercard has partnered with the university to fuel breakthrough research, empower global student leaders and advance emerging technologies.
The Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth partnered with U of T’s Munk School of Global ATairs & Public Policy to make Mastercard Impact Fund transformational investments in The Reach Alliance, a flagship initiative of the Faculty of Arts & Science. The Center’s support has enabled student-led teams to conduct on-the-ground research in underserved communities around the globe—identifying how life-changing services reach those who
need them most.
Mastercard has also supported interdisciplinary programming in Arts & Science, reflecting the company’s commitment to inclusive innovation and student enrichment.
At the Rotman School of Management, the company is championing the future of technology. Mastercard created the Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) Quantum Machine Learning Initiative. The initiative evolved into the CDL Quantum Stream, which brings together entrepreneurs, investors, scientists and quantum technology partners to build ventures in the domain of quantum computing, optimization, sensing and other applications of quantum technologies.
Together, Mastercard’s investments are empowering students, advancing research and technology, and building solutions for a more inclusive world, locally and globally.
